Smile and Wave!
So as Brad and I were driving home from the Thanksgiving holiday in Utah, we pass my mom, grandma, aunt, sister, and little Kyler on the way. I hate goodbyes, and this was a perfect way to always have them waving!

Ode to the Fielding girls!

I just wanted to write a little ode to my wonderful friends that I grew up with in Fielding, Utah. They are and will always be my best friends, its so great when we all get together because its just like we were never apart. They will be there for me through anything, I can be my goofy self around them and they will be my forever friends.
*Please note, there are a few girls missing from this picture, you know who you are! I love you!

These shoes were made for walkin'

If you can't tell I love shoes, always have.. always will! I really feel bad for Brad because anytime I see a pair of shoes I like.. I do puppy eyes and he can't resist! HA! If we have little girls.. that will not be good.
I found these awesome shoes created by Carmel Walsh on Yatzer They are made with vegetable tanned leather, walnut wood heels, fabrics including caucciu covered organic cotton, linen, raffia, hemp, bamboo and cork to support the forms. To read more of the story click here.

I'm selling some GREAT items!!
Hi friends and fellow bloggers. I have cleaned my closet out! I need your help with giving these great items a home. Would any of you be interested in buying some of my old clothes??
Some items include..
Zara 100% leather motorcycle jacket
Many dresses and skirts.
Why am I selling? Because either I can no longer fit into them, or I cannot wear them anymore due to them being a little too short for me. These items are my favorite and I'm sad to get rid of them.. but will never wear them.
I will post pictures if anyone is interested.

Third.. the stuff is a lot cheaper! This is my first purchase. These amazing shoes found here at Marie's Vintage, she also has lots of other amazing items.

Life without a TV

So since I have moved into Brad's and My new place (by myself of course, until we return from our 2 week honeymoon) I have not even wanted to turn the TV on, plus we don't have cable so thats another good reason. Anyways.. I have got some much done, and had time to meditate and be by myself before I spend eternity with a lovely gem named Bradley!
Live without a TV is great! You should try it!

Best Pick Up Ever!
This song, and scene from Top Gun will always remind me of Brad. I watched this last night, and makes me miss him. He is gone this week with his dad on a Father Son Trip. So I was happy to have a little reminder of how he makes me happy everyday! :) Cheesy I know.. anyways. For halloween this past year Brad, and two of his besties dressed up as the top gun guys. Brad was of course Tom Cruise (his idol). Maybe one day I will get picked up by Brad while he is singing me this song.

Adorable!
So last night while I was busy doing invitations, which by the way has been my LEAST favorite part about the wedding I was admiring how adorable my nephew is!

It gets me inspired to do a little photo-op with him and create all these fun faces. This was found via MistyBliss She takes the cutes pictures of kids/babies everything.

Side Note.. no I am not having baby fever.. This has actually been a HUGE birth control living with this little munchkin, he is cute until he screams at night!! Brad and I are going to wait at least 2 years. (Fingers crossed)

Bridesmaids VS. No Bridesmaids
What do you guys think? What is the point really of having bridesmaids, I don't want to have to choose my top however many friends, I want them all! I'm not having a line, they won't walk down an isle in front of me. Really the only thing I can think of is to have them for pictures, but to save money.. i'm thinking more of the No area than the Yes.
Give me your opinions!

Lovely Birthday Wish!

My adorable friend Aubrey posted this cute post to her blog.
I also forgot to tell you all about my Birthday..
Brad and my wonderful friends threw me a surprise Birthday party, the day before my Birthday. Funny story.. so Brad sends me a text on Monday saying "Can I throw Lacey a Surprise party Thursday?" Obviously this was not supposed to go to me. So Brad calls me right away, so upset at himself that he ruined the surprise without even needing to. He just sent me the text instead of his roommate. So the whole time I'm thinking its going to be Thursday.
After the gym Wednesday night, Brad took me to get some tacos at Wahoos, and then forced me to get Dessert. He was just taking his time, when I knew we had to be back by 8pm to watch American Idol. So we finally get to his house, and I see my friend Tiffany's car outside, I didn't think too much of it. Then when we start to walk into Brads house he used his automatic lock 3 times.. so annoying. Still I didn't really think anything. So when we walk into the door BAM.. SURPRISE. All my wonderful friends who knew of the party were there. It was such a great surprise. I only wish I would have at least put SOME makeup on.. haha! :)

Thank you all for being part of my 25 years of bliss!

Help Save Eliza Magazine!!
Some of you may have heard of the magazine Eliza. It is fairly new, and its an amazing magazine. It is a fashion magazine based out of LA that covers only modest fashion with it's focus being stylish of course. It's an amazing publication, and I have a few friends that work with the magazine. They are about to go under because of advertisers cutting short.
Anyway, they only need 100 more subscriptions for the quarter to survive, so please spread the word and support this great cause. If you support this cause trying to get stylish modest fashion out in the world. The subscription is only $15.97 here is the link to the site. Check it out!!

One of my all time favorite clips!
Paul Reubens - Buffy the Vampire Slayer Death Scene
From Buffy the Vampire Slayer.. one of my all time favorite movies also. The dying scene is hilarious, I think I replayed this a few times when I was young pretending I was dying.

Roxy Aging UP!

Since I have been with Quiksilver (almost 7 years to be exact) and before that an avid lover of the brand Roxy. They have had the image of California surfer girl, natural beauty, fun, alive, and different from anyone else!
For Fall we are aging up.. and have been in the transition for awhile now. We are starting to be like everyone else, and I'm not sure what to think about it. I guess with the current economy we have to be like everyone else now. I am excited that we are being more fashion forward, but I think we need to stick to our roots!
What do you think?
Hotel-icopter?
I've always wanted to ride in a helicopter, especially one where it has eighteen rooms, each equipped with a queen-size bed, minibar and coffeemaker, WiFi, flat-screen TV, and cell reception. And you can order room service.
Need to work? There’s a business center. Want to workout? Hit the gym. You can sit in the whirlpool or sauna, get a massage or tan, do yoga, or just contemplate the wonder of it all in the Japanese garden with koi pond.
The inaugural fourteen-day trip leaves JFK on June 26, with stops in the Bahamas, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic.
And unlike on that Airbus A320, you can park the airplane in the hangar.
Without worrying about a crash landing.

VIP status!

This past weekend Brad and I drove out to Palm Springs to meet up with one of his college friends, and his parents. We went to the Tennis Tournament out there which is right next to Brad's parents house in Indian Wells. We got total VIP status, we got to borrow his dads Mercedes, got Valet Parking, and even got to sit in a box! It was scorching hot, and Andy Roddick didn't play so well.. but all in all it was an amazing weekend!

*Family, my mom is in town for 3 weeks.. its so nice having her here, she still has not had time to make her yummy pancakes yet! My new nephew, he is adorable, and I will miss him when they move!
*Rascal Flatts new song.. "Here comes Goodbye"
"We Still Remember"
In Memory of those who lost their lives in the USU crash victims.
"A tiny question mark on a shaft of wheat, initials on a saddle, a farmer's brand stamped in the dirt, shadows of grease under the fingernails of a hard worker, a wedding ring, a Band-Aid, jersey No. 17, a team of horses and a prize hog were the finishing touches that gave the 20-foot-long memorial individual significance.
Each item, carefully sculpted into the intricate design of one of nine bronze panels, represents each man who lost his life when a van carrying eight Utah State University students and their instructor left the roadway and rolled down an embankment north of Brigham City on Sept. 26, 2005."
To watch the neat slideshow click here.
I still remember it like it was yesturday.. I had just gotten to work early on Sept 25th, my mom called me with a different sound to her voice. She had asked if there someone else with me at work yet. She wanted to be sure that someone was close by so they could give me a hug. No one was there yet, but she started to cry.. immediately I could tell something was horribly wrong. She said there was an accident and that someone very dear to me was in it. I asked her who it was, and it was my close high school friend Justin Huggins. I immediately went home as my mom finished telling me that there were eleven others in the crash. I only recognized the name of two of them, but it hit me so hard. I started receiving phone calls from all my close friends, Brooke Richards and Jenn Scott. I felt so alone being so far away and not having anyone around me know what I was going through. I had talked it over with my parents in deciding if it was important for me to come home. I wanted to be sure that I was able to say goodbye and be there to comfort everyone.. and also be comforted. I was so grateful I was able to go home and attend his special funeral. It was everything he would have wanted. All his friends/teammates were the pallbearers and wore their baseball uniforms. It was so detailed and perfect, just like Justin was.
Now his mom has made a blog about memories of his, I love reading it everyday and remembering this special person that will never be forgotten.

So it took me a little while to get excited about my sister having a baby boy, for one I would rather it be a girl personally.. and two I'm going to have to hear the little one crying at night. Until last night.. then when I held him in my hands I fell in love with him! He is so little and tiny, and just so adorable!! I'm the happiest auntie!
