Just wanted to make a post in memory of my good friend Justin who died 3 years ago in the horrible car accident that killed 9 students from USU. Click here to read more.

I will always have a special place for Justin in my heart, he was such a great friend to me all through high school and afterwards. We wrote back and forth when he was on his mission, and his letters and testimony helped me in hard times while away from home, and starting my new life in California.

I remember a few days before he passed away I was checking my email and he had sent me a message saying, "Lacey, call me. I need to talk to you." Unfortunately, I just passed the email by, and told myself I would call him that weekend. Sadly.. it was too late. I still am upset, by my selfishness in not calling him right away.

As Justin would always say.. Peace Out!

Let the fighting begin!

So you may not know this, but I'm a huge hockey fan. I love going to the games, and yes my favorite part is the fighting. I was lucky enough to score our CFO's tickets to the Ducks/Sharks preseason game, and took Brad which was his first hockey game ever. Since it was preseason there was lots of fighting.. there was one where they circled around each other and then ended up on the floor. Crazy, and so manly.

My obsession for shoes continues...

What I wouldn't give to have this womans job. She is in my opinion the top celebrity stylist. She is amazing, and I have been inspired by many of her looks. She now has a show on Bravo that I'm already addicted to.

How to Shake Your Ass like Beyonce

I found this very useful article off ehow.com

Angelina has the lips, Jessica Simpson has the boobs and Cameron Diaz has the legs. Yet no one has mastered body-part marketing like Beyonce. This woman's ass has its own empire. You may not control the world with your backside, but you can shake it with the best of them anyway. Follow these steps to be an ass-shaking diva in your own home.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Be clear about your goal. Don't confuse shaking your ass like Beyonce with having an ass like Beyonce. They are not the same thing. Though a perfect butt would be a lovely bonus, it is not necessary for the dance.
  2. Dress the part. Wear something that puts your ass on display and allows you to move freely. Daisy Duke had the right idea.
  3. Choose your song. Obviously, you'll need something up-tempo. You can't shake your ass like Beyonce to easy listening. Ms. Knowles' "Crazy in Love" is a perfect choice.
  4. Stand in front of a mirror. Ass shaking is no fun if you can't watch. It's also good to know exactly what you'll look like if you're brave enough to do this dance in public.
  5. Feel the music. Allow the beat to pulsate through your body until your instincts take over. If you don't have natural rhythm, don't worry. Ass shaking can be done without it.
  6. Assume the position. Bend your knees without locking them. Arch your back. Raise your arms above your head, and stick your ass out.
  7. Gyrate. Wiggle your ass from side to side. Bounce it up and down. Speed up, then slow it down and repeat. Say to yourself, "I am bootylicious."

Topshop now in the USA

Probably one of the best days of the month.. for shopping that is. The USA ecommerce site for Top shop launched today!

YIPPPEEE.. more money to spend.

Check it out!

My yearbook picture.. kinda

Ever wonder what you'd look like in the past?
Create your own..

TEN OVER SIX

This store just opened in LA Tenover6 My favorite part is that they just carry accessories. Which I agree is the most statement-worthy part of fashion. You can turn any old, boring style into a new one just with a small accessory. I also love their merchandising. A new twist of the monochromatic style.

Who wants to go shopping?!?!

A taste of Marilyn Monroe

Last night I went to eat at an amazing restaurant, I have drove past it a few times and always wondered. So I was estatic to eat there. Come to find out.. there is lots of history behind it.

The Villa Nova has been a Southern California dining tradition since 1933. Originally located on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip, Villa Nova’s famous clientele included Charlie Chaplin, Bing Crosby, John Wayne and Dean Martin to name a few. It was at Villa Nova that Joe DiMaggio took Marilyn Monroe on a blind date and where Vincent Minelli proposed to Judy Garland.
In the late 1960’s “The Strip” had lost its glamour and the restaurant moved to the current location on beautiful Newport Harbor. Since that time, Villa Nova has become a landmark establishment in Newport Beach and a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
