I finally did it!

I am a registered voter of California.. for the first time. I know.. I'm a slacker, I have actually been boycotting the whole voting thing because not one applicant really has caught my attention. I still don't know who I'm voting for, I will probably close my eyes and just see where it lands. One thing I know I'm voting yes on is Prop 8, and you should to.. click here to see why.

This will be me on November 3rd.

My dream home

I love modern architecture, and the compliations of black and white. Another one of my art loves is architeture and Jurgen Mayer H is one of my favorites.

Can you see me having a house like this on some land in Fielding, Utah? Ooh that would be classic, cows roaming.. I can totally see it. Daddy would be proud.

Why didn't I think of this?

I am blessed!

Lately I have noticed that everything in my life is wonderful, I have been so blessed to have such a wonderful life. Everyday I learn something new, meet a new friend, or have an amazing experience.

I love my job, I work with so many wonderful, aspiring people. I love going into work everyday. I think its the people that definitely can make or break your job.. for me its the people. Through my 6 years at Quiksilver I have met some amazing friends that I will have for years.

I live in a place that people go to vacation, how lucky am I!

I have a wonderful family, who are all very different in many ways, which makes me love them all. My dad has always worked so hard so that our family could have the means for a good future. I was always upset that he would never come to my dance recitals or choir concerts. When I was old enough to realize, he explained how he was working over time at those times, so that later on in life I could have money for college and emergencies. My mom is the sweetest person you will every meet, she has definitely been my best friend through everything and someone I have wanted to become. She is never upset, always positive, always has time to listen, and has an amazing testimony. My sister Vangie who is the mellow one, growing up we couldn't stand each other.. since then I have been living with her and her husband Jason for the past 2 years, and its been great. She is now pregnant with her first and I cannot wait to be an aunt of 10 kids! EEK! My sister Lori who is the beauty queen, for all her beauty tips and always killing herself in trying to make others happy before herself. She has a beautiful family who are all amazing. My brother Shane for always being the more serious one in the family, his testimony is also amazing, and has been such a strong priesthood holder for his family lately. My brother Brady for being the funny one, always making us laugh whether it be something he is burning down or just being funny. His family is also so much fun.

I have amazing friends, all who are also very different, and all who I learn so much from. My bestest friends are the ones I grew up with in small Fielding, Utah. We have been friends since we were little. We would go on bike rides together to Belmont Spring, have sleepovers (in which I fell asleep first at all), have parties at the Fielding Elementary School, group dating, camping together at Youth Conference, and Young Womens, draggin main in Logan, breakfasts with moms, and finally weddings, and babies being born.

I am so grateful for my life and all the wonderful people in it who make everyday so enjoyable

Just wanted to make a post in memory of my good friend Justin who died 3 years ago in the horrible car accident that killed 9 students from USU. Click here to read more.

I will always have a special place for Justin in my heart, he was such a great friend to me all through high school and afterwards. We wrote back and forth when he was on his mission, and his letters and testimony helped me in hard times while away from home, and starting my new life in California.

I remember a few days before he passed away I was checking my email and he had sent me a message saying, "Lacey, call me. I need to talk to you." Unfortunately, I just passed the email by, and told myself I would call him that weekend. Sadly.. it was too late. I still am upset, by my selfishness in not calling him right away.

As Justin would always say.. Peace Out!
